ShopPress is a Shopify app that checks and improves product images. This page explains what it reads and keeps.
What we access
With your permission at install, ShopPress reads your products and their images (titles, brand, product type, image addresses, sizes and alt text) and can update image alt text and files. It does not request or store customer, order or payment data.
What we store
- Your store address and the access token Shopify issues to the app
- Audit results: image facts and the problems found
- A history of changes the app made (old and new alt text), so they can be undone
- Hashed AI-connection (MCP) tokens you create; the tokens themselves are never stored
How it is used
Only to show you audits, apply the fixes you approve and undo them. We do not sell or share your data.
Where it is kept
On our own servers. Images are processed in memory to measure them and are not kept.
Deletion
When you uninstall, the app stops working for your store at once. Shopify then asks us to delete your store's data (within 48 hours), and we delete everything listed above.
